Ally Unger, LAC

I'm Ally, a therapist whose journey into healing is deeply rooted in personal experience and a passionate commitment to guiding others toward emotional well-being. From a young age, I've been captivated by the profound journey of personal growth and the exploration of what it means to live authentically. My own challenges with perfectionism and low self-esteem during my formative years ignited my path to becoming a therapist, driven by a desire to heal and empower others.

I specialize in working with teenage girls and women who are facing significant life changes or emotional hardships. My mission is to help you regain your authenticity and explore who you are beyond societal expectations and roles. I create a therapeutic space that is compassionate, supportive, and infused with humor to make the journey of self-discovery both healing and enjoyable.

Areas of Expertise:

Major Life Transitions & Heartbreak: Whether you’re adjusting to a new phase in life or healing from a broken heart, I offer guidance and support to help you through these pivotal moments.

Relationship Issues: I focus on helping clients who experience codependency, relationship anxiety, and self-sabotage. Together, we will work on building healthier and more fulfilling relationships.

Low Self-Confidence & Perfectionism: If you struggle with people-pleasing, self-doubt, a harsh inner critic, low self-esteem, or perfectionism, I am here to help you develop greater self-acceptance and confidence.

My Approach: Drawing from existential therapy and grounded in attachment theory, I offer a comprehensive and thoughtful approach to healing that explores themes of meaning, personal responsibility, and empowerment. My practice integrates evidence-based techniques such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Acceptance & Commitment Therapy (ACT) with mindfulness practices. Additionally, I incorporate inner child healing (reparenting) and shadow work to address deeper emotional issues, uncover and reprogram negative belief systems, and foster growth.

Mind-Body Integration: Passionate about somatic healing, I am currently pursuing certification in somatic breathwork. Somatic techniques complement traditional therapy by addressing stored trauma and enhancing emotional resilience.

If you're ready to embark on a journey of self-discovery and healing, I invite you to connect with me. Together, we can explore your challenges, uncover your strengths, and create a path toward a more fulfilling life. Contact me today to schedule a consultation.
